My Story

Hi, I’m Kie, the founder of Studio Kiele.

My journey into this work began with a lifelong fascination with language—not just the words themselves, but the spaces between them: the rhythm, the unspoken context, the emotion behind a phrase.

I believe that’s where the power of language lies—and the reason translation matters.

I see language as more than a tool. It’s the foundation of trust, understanding, and growth.

In a world saturated with AI content, a handcrafted voice stands apart. Whether for business, branding, or personal expression, I help you communicate in a way that feels natural, culturally aligned, and unmistakably yours.

What Sets Me Apart

Nuance matters—especially in Japanese.

In Person: A Proactive Cultural Partner

This is particularly true for in-person interactions, where the goal extends beyond simple interpretation to facilitating a genuine connection. Explaining a cultural detail during a reception, or anticipating a question before it’s asked—this is my role as your cultural liaison. I ensure your guests not only understand, but feel genuinely welcomed and engaged.

In Writing: A Good Ear for Authenticity

My work is defined by having a good ear for language — an instinct for how words feel as much as what they mean. This allows me to reshape your communications with care for rhythm, nuance, and cultural etiquette, moving beyond literal translation to capture your authentic voice in naturally polished Japanese.

About the name Studio Kiele:
Studio Kiele borrows from kiele, the Hawaiian gardenia—graceful, clear, quietly beautiful—and nods to Finnish kieli, meaning “language” and “tongue.” My work lives where those meanings meet: words that help bridge cultures, all with my own name tucked subtly inside.
